Allow Doctors to decide

if marijuana is the right treatment

    The entrenched politicians are lawyers, not doctors.  But, they think they know more about the right treatment for you than your doctor does.

    Nine States (Alaska, Arizona, California, Colorado, Hawaii, Maine, Nevada, Oregon, & Washington) have approved the use of marijuana for medicinal purposes.  Most of these States have approved medical marijuana through the initiative process, a right which Austin steadfastly denies Texans.

    And, in States where medical marijuana has been on the ballot, it has passed with overwhelming support, usually 65-70%.

    It is time for Texas to take the compassionate position, the position based on sound medical evidence, and abandon the path of xenophobia and racism.  It is time to add Texas to the list of States allowing medical marijuana use.
